What we’ll look at: Pulling demos 5–9 from the companion guide — we’ll pick one or two live based on the room.

• Demo 6 Draft a professional email about a meeting move, then re-tone it as a chat message.
• Demo 7 Improve a clunky paragraph — and ask Copilot to show what it changed and why.
• Demo 8 Translate a loyalty offer into Spanish, French, and German while keeping the tone.

Why we picked these: writing tasks are the highest-volume Copilot Chat use case in retail and CPG teams — the biggest time-saver per click.

What we’ll look at: Demos 10–12 — turning rough input into clean, sendable output.

• Demo 10 Summarize pasted meeting notes into Key Decisions, Action Items, and Open Questions, then convert it into a leadership email in the same chat.
• Demo 11 Upload a strategy doc and pull out 5 bullets, 3 risks, and 3 next steps.
• Demo 12 Extract decisions, owners, and dates from a meeting transcript — then auto-draft the recap email.

What we’ll look at: Demos 13–14 — visualizing information you already have, or building it from scratch.

• Demo 13 Upload a quarterly-sales spreadsheet, ask for the 3 most interesting patterns, then chart annual totals by store — followed by a Q4 pie chart by region.
• Demo 14 Build a top-5 countries-by-GDP table for 2020–2025 with no data file, then plot the trend.

What we’ll look at: Demos 15–16 — describing an image, then generating one.

• Demo 15 Upload a storefront photo and ask for two ways a manager could improve the customer experience.
• Demo 16 Generate a photorealistic customer-service training visual — one image per day in the free tier, so we save it for the close.

• Working definition: An agent is AI on a job description — instructions, personality, knowledge sources, and capabilities packaged together so the same task gets the same shape every time.

• What’s free for Copilot Chat (Basic) users: Microsoft-built agents (Prompt Coach, Idea Coach, Researcher preview, Writing Coach, Learning Coach), plus Agent Builder with web search, Image Generator, and Code Interpreter.
• What needs a license: grounding on your SharePoint, OneDrive, email, calendar, or Teams data — that’s where the paid M365 Copilot license unlocks the next level.

What we’ll look at: Two of the four Prompt Coach demos. Open Copilot Chat → Agents → search “Prompt Coach.”

• Demo 1.1 Rescue a vague prompt (“Write a launch email for our new private-label snack”) — Coach flags what’s missing and rewrites it.
• Demo 1.3 Compliance & fairness check on a competitive-claim prompt — the responsible-AI guardrail moment.

The takeaway: Prompt Coach interviews you — that’s the feature, not friction.

What we’ll look at: Two of the four Idea Coach demos. Coach is a thinking partner, not a yes-man.

• Demo 2.1 Generate 8 summer beverage concepts for Gen Z — each with a name, hook, cultural insight, and one risk.
• Demo 2.3 Stress-test a private-label premium-coffee idea with SWOT, a pre-mortem, and three killer questions for leadership.

The takeaway: Coach didn’t validate the idea — it interrogated it. That’s the value.

What we’ll look at: A speed-built declarative agent that any unlicensed Copilot Chat user can run. It’s a product/campaign concept generator for retail and CPG.

• Step 1 Open m365copilot.com → Agents → Create agent → Describe tab. Paste the one-paragraph description.
• Step 2 Switch to Configure — drop in the Instructions (personality + rules).
• Step 3 Add up to 4 public URLs as scoped web search (retaildive.com, nrf.com, trendhunter.com, thedrum.com).
• Step 4 Toggle on Image Generator and Code Interpreter.
• Step 5 Run a live test prompt — the packaging-mockup render is the applause moment.

Copilot Memory lets Copilot Chat remember things about you across conversations — your role, the projects you work on, your writing voice, and preferences like “always answer in bullets” or “avoid hype words.” Custom Instructions are the standing brief you give Copilot up front so it never has to ask again. Together they turn every future response into a more personal, more relevant answer with no extra prompting cost.

What we’ll show live (one prompt, one settings tour):

• Teach Run a quick “ask me 10 short questions about myself” prompt — Copilot interviews you, saves the memories, and uses them going forward.
• Review Open the top-right ⋯ menu → Personalization → Copilot Memory to see, edit, or clear individual memories.
• Set In the same Personalization area, drop in a few lines of Custom Instructions — who you are, how you like answers formatted, and what to avoid.

• One prompt to reuse — copy a writing or summarize demo from the Copilot Chat handout and run it on a real task.
• One agent to try — open Prompt Coach or Idea Coach in the Agent Store and put a current project through it.
• One personalization to set — add 3–5 lines of Custom Instructions so every future answer starts smarter.
